Sanctuary Gardener Update ~ 2/16/15

Unlike much of the northeastern United States, we here in the South have had sunny weather this week. No snow for us. However, it has been a bit nippy. We’ve had several nights below freezing – with a couple more to come – so I’ve had the plastic on my hoop tunnels the past few days. I’ll get a break for a day or two this week when I can take them off, just in time for a bit of rain. Then the plastic will go back on for a few more frost-filled nights. I still can’t complain though. While my family back home is digging out of yet another snow storm, my garden is now showing a few signs of impending spring! This week’s garden photos!

Sanctuary Gardener Update ~ 2/9/15

It was a laid back time in the garden this week, mostly because I was busy with other things. I didn’t harvest anything or plant anything. However, the seeds in my grow room are starting to germinate, but still no germination from those Tiny Tim Peas I planted outside last Sunday; I hope to see something from them soon! Yesterday was 72 degrees, so I took advantage of the weather and pruned my apple trees and took some pictures for you. This week’s garden photos!

Happy news! It’s now spring, and that means it’s time to go back to my five-day-a-week posting. That’s right – starting this week, I’ll be posting every day, Monday through Friday, through final harvest in the late fall. It’s spring, and there’s so much more to share with you! Speaking of sharing, come take a look at what’s going on in my garden.
