Sanctuary Gardener Update ~ 6/9/14

What a week it’s been in the garden! The temperature hasn’t been too bad this week – mostly in the upper 80s. (Better than mid-90s!) Things are growing, veggies are ripening, and it actually rained. I’ve got lots of pics to share with you. This week’s garden pictures!

Sanctuary Gardener Update ~ 12/2/13

It’s hard to believe it’s already December, the last month of the year! My 2013 garden log is almost complete, the seed catalogs are soon to arrive, and it’s time to start planning my seed germinating and my winter and spring gardens. There’s not much rest for southern gardeners as we can grow something almost year round. December and January are the slow months, then things kick back up again! Although this is my slowest season in the garden, I do have some pictures to share with you. This week in the garden!

Sanctuary Gardener Update ~ 1/11/13

It’s sunny and 75 degrees in the Charleston, South Carolina, area today, and I thought it was a perfect day to post my first garden update. Over the growing seasons (yes, plural), I will regularly share with you what’s going on here in my garden ~ what’s been planted, how it’s growing, what problems I may be experiencing (as well as how I’m trying to solve them), and what’s being harvested. With the climate we have here in the South, we have three agricultural cycles and there’s almost always something growing in my garden. But wait, there’s more!
